School Rules and
Regulations
GENERAL 1. Complete uniform must be worn.
2. Jewelry, such as bangles, chains and rings etc.
may not be worn to school. Small gold/silver knobs
(not earrings) may be worn. Watches may be worn by Grades 5 &
6 only.
3. Children's hair should be combed appropriately
for school. Hair extensions are not allowed. Brown,
white or blue
ribbons or clips may be worn. (Please do not overdo)
4. Punctuality and promptness must always be
observed.
5. Upon return to school after absence, a student
must report to the teacher and present an excuse,
written and
signed by her parents or guardian.
6. After 3 days absence, a doctor's certificate is
required.
7. If a child is to be excused from swimming or
P.E., she must present the reason in writing from
her
parent/guardian.
8. The office must be notified in advance if a
student has to leave the compound for any
appointment during
school hours.
9. Students leaving the compound during school hours
must be signed out in the office.
10. The office must be notified if anyone other than
the usual person is to collect your child. The new
person must
present an I.D. to the office.
11. Parents may not visit classrooms for any reason
during school hours unless permission is obtained
from the
office. If any thing is to be delivered to your child,
it must be taken TO THE OFFICE.
12. Parents who wish to see teachers must make an
appointment with the teacher.
13. Children must use the side entrances on entering
and leaving school. The front steps are used only
when it
rains.
14. CHEWING OF GUM IS FORBIDDEN AT ALL TIMES.
15. Quiet must be observed in all corridors,
stairways, lavatories, especially while classes are
in session.
16. All items brought to school must be labeled.
ENVIRONMENT 1 . Surroundings must be kept clear of refuse.
2. Classrooms must be kept neat and tidy.
3. Walkways should be used at all times so as to
avoid trampling the grass.
4. Books and other possessions must not be left
anywhere in the corridors or on the school grounds.
ARRIVING AT AND LEAVING SCHOOL There are two entrances to the school - the main
entrance from Constant Spring Road, and the back
gate on Olivier Road, the latter necessitating a
short walk to the main school buildings.
I . Prep. school children are NOT allowed to wait at
the back gate to be collected.
2. Let the school know who is to pick up your child.
3. Arrange to drop off your child in good time for
the commencement of classes.
4. Organize your child to be ready for collection at
the right time.
5. Don't cause a traffic jam by waiting in the main
traffic stream for your child to come, thus delaying
others.
6. NO horn blowing/or loud radios.
7. Don't pick up "friends" without prior authority
from their parents.
8. Please collect your child promptly.
9. Don't park in or block Teacher's Parking Lot.
10. CONVENT GARAGE IS NOT TO BE BLOCKED AT ANY TIME.
ENTRANCE AND EXIT FOR THE SISTERS MUST BE LEFT OPEN.
OUT OF BOUNDS The Preparatory School property extends from the
white picket fence to the chain link fence by Grade
6.
Our children are allowed to use the Summer House and
Swimming pool during class time only.
Any place outside the Preparatory School property is
Out of Bounds unless a child has permission from the
school to be there. |
